The university had scheduled some exams including second year BCom's business economics, second year BA's sociology and chemistry examinations, BSc's microbial food technology and BBA's banking law and management last week.

Most of the exams that have been rescheduled were to be held on April 17, April 18 and April 22, May 5 and May 20.

The university has cited training sessions for PU employees on poll duty for Punjab elections as one of the reasons for rescheduling the exams.

The varsity said that circulars have been issued to principals of various colleges, centre superintendents and coordinators informing them about the new dates.
