Badal was in Sawai Madhopur district on Friday from where he left for Ranthambhore National Park. On the rise of narcotic drug abuse among youths in Punjab, Badal said, “The state is a transit point of narcotic drug trafficking as narcotic drugs are trafficked to Punjab from Pakistan and later the trafficked drug is forwarded to other states of the country.”

He said the Punjab government was taking strict action against drug trafficking. “Several cases of narcotic trafficking have been caught. Several persons have also been nabbed,” he said. Over the issue of rift in the NDA, he said the alliance was gaining strength. Badal also appreciated PM Narendra Modi and his works, claiming that the PM had brought about several changes in the country.
