Real estate developer booked for duping Sector 49 resident
The local police have registered a case of cheating against a real estate developer, Emaar MGF Land Private Ltd, for duping a Sector 49 resident.
The case has been registered on the directions of the Punjab and Haryana high court. Station house officer (SHO), Sector 17 police station, inspector Dilsher Singh Chandel said Amarjit Singh, a resident of Sector 49, had alleged that Emaar MGF Land Private Ltd chair man Mohammed Ali , along with his officials Alabbar, Sharvan Gupta, Ahmed Jamal Jawa, Haroon Saeed Sidduqui, Siddharth Gupta, Anil Bhalla, Abhiram Seth, Ajay Nambiar and Mohit Kaura, took 37,91,605 from him for providing a plot in Sector 109, SAS Nagar, in 2000.
The complainant alleged that they neither had given the possession of the plot and nor had returned the money. Inspector Dilsher said they would now write to UT SSP to forward the case to the economic of fence wing for investigating the matter.
A case of cheating (420) and criminal breach of trust (406) under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered at Sector 17 police station. No arrest has been made in the case so far.
