The police suspect the murders to be the fallout of a property dispute. The three hailed from Mirchpur village in Hisar district and had moved into the rented accommodation sometime ago.

Earlier, on reaching the house the police had to break open the front door of the house. The two teenaged brothers were enrolled in a local school in Rohtak. The police are yet to zero-in on the suspects and have sent teams to their native village.
