The school is likely to receive an adverse report as the inquiry has found that the institute took no action against two other students for non-payment of fees during that period, the source said.

Haryana Home Secretary Ram Niwas, however, offered no comment, saying the findings of the inquiry would be made public in a couple of days.

Ruchika’s family has alleged she was expelled from school on “flimsy grounds” at the behest of S.P.S. Rathore, a senior police officer, who has been convicted for molesting her in 1990.

They have alleged that expulsion added to Ruchika’s trauma and was a factor that pushed her to suicide in 1993.
