SAD names Bhagwan Das Juneja as candidate for Patiala bypolls

In a surprise move, Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) declared Bhagwan Das Juneja, a social activist, as party candidate for Patiala assembly bypoll. He has been pitted against Congress's Preneet Kaur and Aam Aadmi party (AAP) candidate Harjit Singh Adaltiwala. Juneja is known social worker and his son Harpal Juneja is a SAD councillor. Harpal is a protege of state cabinet minister Bikram Singh Majithia.
