The local administration has set up a 24-hour helpline for seeking information regarding persons missing in flood-ravaged Uttarakhand. Amarbir Kaur Bhullar, assistant commissioner (G), disclosed this here on Saturday.

She said as per the instructions of the state government, helpline number- 0172-2220152 had been set up at the district headquarters.

Kaur said anyone could call and give information regarding their relatives and friends missing in Uttarakhand. The information would further be sent to the state government and then forwarded to the Uttarakhand government so that adequate arrangements could be made for tracing the whereabouts of missing persons.
