Sector-16 nightclub fight: Victim recalls incident
“As soon as I turned them out of the nightclub, the youngsters threatened me with dire consequences, before challenging me to come downstairs,” recalled Rahul, who was shot outside Buzz nightclub in Sector 16 on Monday night.
Recalling the turn of events, Rahul, a bouncer at the nightclub, said Rattan Lubana had organised a birthday party at the nightclub between 4pm and 8pm, to which 60 youngsters were invited.
Towards the end of the party, some youngsters allegedly began misbehaving and indulging in hooliganism at the party.
Rahul said, “When I asked them to behave themselves, they began abusing another bouncer Maini and me. We then tur ned them out of the nightclub.”
Following this, the three unidentified accused allegedly threatened Rahul and Pardeep, which Rahul ignored, believing that they were speaking under the influence of alcohol.
“When I went down along with Maini and another friend Pardeep ( who had come to pick up Maini), a white Tata Safari with the three persons suddenly appeared from the other end. One of the three fired at least four rounds at me,” he said.
While one bullet hit Rahul’s leg, another wounded Pardeep on his hip. Two other bullets missed their mark.
“The accused then made their escape while we were rushed to the hospital by some friends who came down upon hearing the gunshots,” he said.
Both Rahul and Pradeep are stable and are undergoing treatment at Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research.
