A seminar on Indian banking system was organised at Amar Shaheed Baba Ajit Singh Jujhar Singh memorial college Bela near Rupnagar on Wednesday.
Over 150 bachelor of business administration (BBA), bachelor of commerce (BCom) and bachelor of vocation (BVoc) students participated in the session.
Former State Bank of Patiala deputy general manager Amrik Singh Aahi, the main speaker on the occasion, informed students about the functioning of public, private sector, commercial, rural banks and reserve banks and highlighted the role of banks in uplifting priority sector, including agriculture and small scale industries.
