State Bank of India (SBI) on Tuesday launched Telebanking Services Phase-III in Chandigarh.

Lingaraj Mahapatra, chief general manager, Chandigarh Circle, handed over telebanking kits to the customers of main branch, Chandigarh, in a programme organised at the local head office in Sector 17.

The service will offer facilities like account enquiry, statement of accounts request, stop payment of cheque, and transfer of funds (within SBI accounts). However, issue of fixed deposits, utility bill payments and request for issuance of cheque book will be introduced shortly.

To avail the facility, a customer has to register for telebanking at the home branch and make a call to the bank at 1800112211, 1800-425-3800 (tollfree) and 080-2659-9990.
