Superintendent convicted in graft case

Additional district and sessions judge Shalini S Nagpal on Thursday pronounced a superintendent of Punjab nursing re gistration council guilty in a corruption case.

The convict has been identified as Inderjit Singh who was posted as superintendent in the office of Punjab nursing registration council. The quantum would be pronounced on May 24.



Vigilance department had arrested Inderjit on charges of demanding bribe of Rs 15,000 from a retired clerk of the same department Gurpal Singh. As per the complaint, Gurpal had alleged that to release his arrears



Inderjit was demanding illegal gratification. The vigilance department registered a case under various sections of prevention of cor ruption act and had arrested Inderjit red handed.
