Several other flights were also delayed. The Go Air flight to Mumbai which departs from the city at 11.15am departed at about 2.15pm. Another Indigo flight to Mumbai was late by around an hour and a half. The flight which departs at 12.20pm departed at 1.49pm instead.

The Jet Airways 12.45pm flight to Mumbai departed at 2.59pm, while its 12.55pm flight to Delhi departed at 4.40pm.

The officials said the airlines had to suspend their operations in lieu of poor visibility at the Delhi airport.
