UP man held for 16-yr-old's kidnapping, victim rescued
A 23-year-old man from Uttar Pradesh (UP) was arrested on Saturday for allegedly kidnapping a 16-year-old girl.

A 23-year-old man from Uttar Pradesh (UP) was arrested on Saturday for allegedly kidnapping a 16-year-old girl.
Varinder, a daily-wager, was arrested at his native village in Sambhal district of UP. The minor girl, who he had allegedly taken along with him on Tuesday on the pretext of marriage, was also rescued, police said.
Earlier, the minor girl's mother had lodged a missing person's complaint with Chandigarh Police. The victim's mother, who works as a domestic help in Sector 22, had informed the police that she suspected Varinder was behind her daughter's disappearance.
