UPA govt will complete full term: Salman Khurshid

Union minister for external affairs Salman Khurshid on Saturday said the Congress-led UPA government would complete its full term. Khurshid thanked Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav for his support to the UPA government and hoped his party would continue to back the government in future also.

Union minister for external affairs Salman Khurshid on Saturday said the Congress-led UPA government would complete its full term.

Khurshid, who was speaking to mediapersons on the sidelines of a two-day international conference organised by the Centre for Research in Rural and Industrial Development (CRRID), Chandigarh, in collaboration with the external affairs ministry, thanked Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav for his support to the UPA government and hoped his party would continue to back the government in future also.

Speaking about Pakistan, he said the political changes taking place there is their internal matter and India should refrain from any kind of interference. However, he hoped that the political changes would usher in stability in the neighbouring country.

The external affairs minister condemned North Korea’s attack on US military bases and said it was against the nuclear policy.

Earlier, he emphasised on the importance of connectivity among Central Asia, South Asia and Southeast Asia to ensure economic growth and prosperity of the Asian region.
