Zirakpur man arrested in murder case
A 32-year-old man was arrested for allegedly murdering another man at Zirakpur on Thursday. The incident took place on Wednesday evening, when Lakhwinder Singh, the victim in the case, visited a workshop Zirakpur, where he ran into the suspect, identified as Satnam Singh, a resident of Singhpura village in Zirakpur.

A 32-year-old man was arrested for allegedly murdering another man at Zirakpur on Thursday.
The incident took place on Wednesday evening, when Lakhwinder Singh, the victim in the case, visited a workshop Zirakpur, where he ran into the suspect, identified as Satnam Singh, a resident of Singhpura village in Zirakpur. The two got into a heated argument following which Satnam attacked Lakhwinder with a sharp-edged agricultural tool. He then fled the spot, leaving Lakhwinder bleeding.
He was then taken to the civil hospital where he was declared dead on arrival. The complainant, Parminder Kaur, the wife of the deceased, attributed the crime to an old enmity.
Satnam has been booked under Section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code.
