30 acres along Yamuna Expressway will be allotted to CRPF for a base
Officials privy to the development said the CRPF has requested the Yeida to provide them land in a sector that enjoys easy connectivity with the Yamuna Expressway.
The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (Yeida) on Wednesday said it will allot around 30 acres along the 165km Yamuna Expressway to the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) for residential and administrative purposes.

Following the submission of a detailed proposal seeking land for housing and administrative unit for three battalions, a team of CRPF on Wednesday met Yeida chief executive officer Arun Vir Singh at the authority office in Greater Noida’s Omega-1. Officials privy to the development said the CRPF has requested the Yeida to provide them land in a sector that enjoys easy connectivity with the Yamuna Expressway. The team also visited the plots in three prospective sectors – 23B, 22B and 17 – where they are likely to get the land.
“We are looking for a suitable piece of land for housing three battalions. We want to build our base along the Yamuna Expressway because we will get better road connectivity and environment for our administrative and training work,” a CRPF official, who is not authorised to speak to the media, said.
Yeida CEO Arun Vir Singh, meanwhile, said, “Let the CRPF take their final decision regarding the location from the three options we have given them. We will try to provide them the land of their choice. We want the CRPF to set up their base here as it will help us keep better
law and order and discipline in the area.”
Singh said he has also directed the urban town planning department to identify a good location in the three sectors. “If the CRPF wants, we can shift other projects within the sectors and provide them the land.”
