71 nomination forms rejected in Pune district; maximum from Cantonment
A total of 27 nomination forms of candidates from Pune Cantonment were rejected out of the 58 during the scrutiny process on Saturday, the highest in Pune district.
A total of 27 nomination forms of candidates from Pune Cantonment were rejected out of the 58 during the scrutiny process on Saturday, the highest in Pune district. In Pune district, forms of 71 candidates were rejected out of a total of 373 candidates.

While forms of six candidates were rejected out of 17 from the Wadgaonsheri constituency, none was rejected in Shivajinagar and Khadakwasla constituencies where 13 and nine candidates filed their nominations respectively.
From the Kothrud constituency, four forms of candidates were rejected out of the total 21.
In Parvati, one form was rejected from 15; two in Hadapsar from total 19 and two in Sadashiv peth from a total of 13.
In Pimpri, Chinchwad and Bhosari constituencies, a total of 11 forms were rejected out of the total 63. The key candidates were NCP’s Prashant Shitole from Chinchwad and Sulkashana Shilvant-Dhar from Pimpri assembly segments.
From Pimpri assembly constituency, forms of NCP candidate Sulkashana Shilvant-Dhar, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena’s candidate Kisan Kamble, Janhit Party’s Ashok Ramchandra Alhat, Janta Party’s Dr Abhijit Bhalshankar and independent candidate Vaishali Baban Dethe, were rejected.
There were a total of 51 nomination papers received from 35 candidates and among it five candidates papers were rejected, said election officer of Pimpri assembly constituency Vaishali Untwal.
Now, NCP former MLA Anna Bansode will contest on NCP ticket from Pimpri assembly constituency.
