Anita Kushwaha (32) and Ghanshyam Raikwar (35) were found dead at Ramgopal’s house in Kena village of the district.

“The accused Ramgopal used to live with his wife and two children by constructing a house in a farmland. On Monday morning, he came back from the market where he allegedly saw his wife Anita with Raikwar in an objectionable state,” SP Jaiswal said.

He started thrashing Raikwar and attacked them multiple times with the axe.

The police arrested him and sent the bodies for postmortem. The Forensic Science Laboratory team later reached the spot to collect evidence.
