AAP will contest on all 90 assembly seats: Sushil Gupta
AAP RS MP Sushil Gupta the party has been strengthened at the grassroots with the appointment of 6,500 secretaries across the state
: The president of Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) Haryana unit, Sushil Gupta, on Monday said that the party will contest on all the 90 assembly and 10 parliamentary seats in the state in the 2024 Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha polls.
He said that the party has been strengthened at the grassroots with the appointment of 6,500 secretaries across the state. These new representatives will be placed in every ward in villages and cities in the state.
He said that Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal will take part in the swearing-in ceremony of the new appointees in Rohtak.
“We are preparing on all 90 assembly seats and 10 parliamentary seats in Haryana and we will form the next government in Haryana. We want to bring reform in education and health sectors in the state, besides improving law and order situation,” he added.
Rajya Sabha MP Gupta alleged that the ruling BJP government has been using government institutions to silence the voice of the opposition.
“The opposition parties have formed INDIA bloc to take on the BJP in the next year’s parliamentary polls. The BJP is scared of the opposition bloc and they are making every effort to bring cracks in the opposition camp. The opposition leaders have been arrested without any reasons and the BJP is weakening the democracy,” he added.
He lashed out at the Centre for ‘failing’ to find a solution to the Sutlej-Yamuna link (SYL) canal water dispute between Haryana and Punjab.
“The Centre does not want to find a solution for SYL issue and we want that the Haryana farmers should get the water,” he added.
