Leaders led by party’s J&K president Ravinder Raina, former deputy chief minister Kavinder Gupta and others celebrated the BJP’s victory.

Raina said that people have chosen the public-centric policies of the BJP led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and chief minister Yogi Adityanath.

“People have defeated forces which thrived on the corruption and casteism and have voted in favour of better society,” he added.

Replying to a query about elections in Jammu and Kashmir, Raina said, “Union home minister Amit Shah has already said that elections in J&K will be held after the delimitation commission completes its assigned task. Once all assembly segments in J&K are properly demarcated, elections would be held.”

Raina further said that in next six to eight months, Jammu and Kashmir would go to polls and the BJP will repeat UP-like landslide victory.
