Sources said that the criminal investigation department of the police has started verification process of the contractors who work in various departments in J&K.

“The blacklisting of contractors on the basis of reports from covert agencies is discriminatory and inherently biased. In a conflict what would the golden concept of reintegration mean if a person is barred from almost all forms of economic activity,” tweeted Lone.

He termed this blacklisting of contractors as “scripting of disaster”.

Peoples Conference spokesman Adnan Ashraf said that contractors against whom there have been adverse reports given by the CID have already approached court.
