In the second case, Mahajan is accused of threatening a witness of a murder, wherein four people had shot dead a Jind resident and injured his friend in the parking lot of old district courts in Sector 17, Chandigarh, on September 4, 2019.
Mahajan is accused of calling the prime witness in the case, Rohit Kumar, and asking him not to depose against the accused, Vikas, alias Boxer.
Though allowed bail in this matter, the former scribe will remain behind bars as he has still not secured bail in the property grab case.
Mahajan, along with others, had allegedly kidnapped and tortured Rahul Mehta, 48, the only surviving heir of his family, in April 2017 to usurp his 338 square yards house in Sector 37 and sell it for ₹2.9 crore in March 2019.
