Speaking at the Punjab Sakhi Shakti Mela in Barnala, MP Hayer took a jibe at Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring. “The party’s leaders are busy fighting amongst themselves for the chief ministerial candidate. The public has seen the administrations under former CMs Amarinder Singh and Charanjit Singh Channi. That’s why the voters rejected them in the last elections,” Meet Hayer said.
On Monday, amid high-drama, the district administration razed the peripheral wall of Khaira’s house, terming it an illegal construction in Ramgarh village of Kapurthala district. The drive, carried out by the block development and panchayat office (BDPO) in association with police, was strongly opposed by Khaira and his supporters.
