Four booked for assaulting 18-yr-old in Mauli Jagran

Police have booked four youths for assaulting an 18-year-old boy with hockey sticks after breaking into his friend’s house in Mauli Jagran.

Police said though the victim, Aman Kumar, was attacked on December 2, he did not approach the police. The case was registered after a complaint by his friend Hari Kishan, whose house Kumar was assaulted in. Both friends also live in Mauli Jagran.

Kishan told the police that on December 2, Kumar was at his house, when four youths, all aged 19 to 20, entered his house and assaulted Kumar with hockey sticks. They also threatened him with a knife before fleeing.

Kishan identified the youths as Topi, Rishabh, alias Kancha, Karan and Mukesh.

On his complaint, the four accused were booked under Sections 147 (rioting), 148 (rioting armed with deadly weapon), 149 (every member of unlawful assembly guilty of offence committed in prosecution of common object), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 452 (house trespass after preparation for hurt, assault or wrongful restraint) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code, and the Arms Act at the Mauli Jagran police station on Saturday. Efforts are on to arrest them.
