Four booked for theft at CID’s office

The four accused are yet to be arrested and a case under sections 380(theft) and 457(house-breaking) of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against them at the division number 8 police station

Those booked have been identified as Kaka, Money, Bobby and Vijay, a scrap dealer.

The complainant, Sant Ram, who works as a caretaker cum watchman of the office said he had gone on a vacation after locking the department’s office on December 23. On his return on January 1, he found three ceiling fans, a table fan, two iron rods, and a water pump missing.

Sub-inspector Sahib Singh said the accused are yet to be arrested and a case under sections 380(theft) and 457(house-breaking) of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against them at the division number 8 police station.
