Addressing a press conference here after presiding over the meetings of the party’s working committee and district presidents at the head office, Giani Harpreet alleged that 854 square yards of land belonging to the historic gurdwara and situated along the highway was sold out at a rate of 7,000 per square yard.

“It is a big scam, and there is a need for a fair probe into the matter. Land-related scams are occurring daily within the SGPC,” he alleged.

Regarding the meetings of the party’s working committee, Giani Harpreet said that after consultations with senior leadership, the party’s women’s wing and youth Akali Dal will be constituted soon.

“The Shiromani Akali Dal (Punar Surjit) will organise an Akali conference on the occasion of Hola Mohalla at Anandpur Sahib, where all the leaders will participate”, he said.
