J&K Police: 2 houses, car of peddlers attached

A Shopian house is said to be worth over ₹15 lakh while another one in Anantnag and a car have been valued at ₹80 lakh, according to a police spokesperson

Two houses and a car belonging to two alleged drug peddlers in south Kashmir were attached, police said on Thursday. While a residential house allegedly acquired through the proceeds of drug trafficking was attached in Shopian, a house and a car of a drug peddler was also attached under NDPS Act in Anantnag, officials said.

Both cases are related to NDPS Act.

The Shopian house belonging to Mohd Shafi Khanday, a resident of Thraina Kandi Keller, is said to be worth ₹15,78,094, a police spokesperson said.

In Anantnag, the attached property belongs to Imran Ahmad Wani of Shalgam Srigufwara against whom action has been taken under the provisions of Section 68(F) of the NDPS Act. The attached property includes one single-storeyed residential house and a car, worth around ₹80 lakh, the spokesperson said.
