Ludhiana: 2 brothers arrested after video of their kids with weapons goes viral

After the video of the men urging their children to pose with the weapons became viral, the police registered an FIR against the accused, Amrinder Singh of Kisan Enclave and his brother Bharpur Singh.

Assistant sub-inspector Charanjit Singh, who is investigating the case, said, “In the video, the children, aged 11 and 12, can be seen striking poses with their weapons, on the instruction of their parents.”

A case under Section 188 (disobeying a public servant’s order) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been lodged against the accused.

In a separate case, Amandeep Singh alias Amna of Raikot, was arrested for posting a photograph of himself with a weapon on social media.

The complainant, assistant sub-inspector Jang Singh, came across the photo, which was posted by the Amna Group Raikot, while scrolling through his social media.

The accused was booked under Sections 188, 294 (singing, recites or utters any obscene song, ballads or words), and 504 (insult intended to provoke breach of the peace) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), and sections of the Arms Act.
