Ludhiana: 9-yr-old girl raped by stepfather, case filed
The 9-yr-old girl confided in her maternal grandmother about the abuse when she was teaching her about good touch and bad touch
The city police on Tuesday booked a Bachittar Nagar resident for allegedly raping his 9-year-old stepdaughter.

An FIR was lodged on the complaint of the maternal grandmother of the victim, who lives in Mohali. The girl had confided in her grandmother about the abuse.
The police have registered a case under sections 376 (rape) of the IPC and section 6 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
The woman filed a complaint against the accused in Mohali. The Mohali police lodged a Zero FIR and sent it to Ludhiana police for further action.
In her complaint to the police, the woman said that her daughter married the accused in 2018. It was her second marriage. After the marriage, her daughter took the girl to Ludhiana along with her, she said.
The girl was not doing well in studies due to which the complainant brought her back to Mohali last week.
The woman said that she was teaching her daughter about good touch and bad touch when the girl told her that her stepfather used to rape her.
She said the accused raped the girl repeatedly in the absence of her mother.
She narrated the whole incident to her daughter, who did not believe it.
Sub inspector Ashwani Kumar, who is investigating the matter, said that the Mohali police lodged an FIR and sent it to Ludhiana for further action. He added that the police have conducted a raid at the address of the accused mentioned in the FIR, but it was found incorrect
