The Tibba police have booked a resident of Faridabad for raping a 32-year-old woman who was the student of a computer centre owned by him.

The accused has been identified as Sandeep Sharma of Faridabad. The victim, who is a resident of Tajpur Road, had filled a complaint on January 28 and the FIR was lodged following a five-month long investigation.
She stated that Sharma had started a computer centre on Vijay Nagar, Tajpur Road, which she had joined as a student.
She added that she befriended Sandeep there and alleged that he established physical relations with her on the pretext of marriage. She alleged that when she asked him to marry her, he fled to Faridabad after shutting down the centre.
Sub-inspector Baldev Raj, who is investigating the case, said that a case under Section 376 of Indian Penal Code has been lodged against the accused. A hunt is on for his arrest.
