The accused are company director Yashpal’s wife Parminder Kaur, and son Gavin Devgan of Sarabha Nagar; Surinder Kaur of Village Lohara, Dilkhush Thind, Jagdish Parveza, Jaspreeet Kaur of Rajouri Garden Ludhiana, Santosh Driver, Shinder Kaur, Sahib Dayal, Manjit Driver and Trilok.

An FIR was registered on the complaint of Vikram Kumar,the brother of Yashpal, who is also a director of the company.

Kumar had lodged the complaint on February 1, following which the police carried out preliminary investigation, and then lodged a case in this matter.

Kumar said his brother suffered a paralytic attack in 2017, after which his wife Parminder Kaur started coming to the company to look after the business. However, later he found that many products were being transported from the company without issuing any bills against them.

CCTV cameras and records revealed the involvement of Parminder Kaur, who along with the other accused, used to transport the products in a commercial vehicle without issuing bills. He added that the accused had transported products a number of times between February 15, 2021 and April 28, 2021.

Assistant sub-inspector Rajinder Singh, who is investigating the case, said a case had been registered under Sections 380 (theft in dwelling house), 451 ( house-trespass), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 120B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code.

Contractor, labourer held for stealing machines from factory

Ludhiana A labourer contractor and labourer were held for stealing two machines from a factory in Phase-8, Focal Point, on Monday. The stolen machines have been recovered from the accused.

The accused have been identified as Paramjit Singh of Jhabewal village, who is a labourer contractor and Rahul Kumar of Jamalpur.

The FIR was lodged on the statement of Vinay Kumar of GK Estate, Chandigarh Road, the owner of the factory.

Assistant sub-inspector Surjit Singh, Jeevan Nagar police post in-charge, said an FIRwas registered under Sections 381 ( Theft by clerk or servant) and 411 (dishonestly receiving stolen property) of the Indian Penal Code against the accused.
