The deceased, 22, had hanged himself at his house in Badala village, Kharar, on Friday.
In his complaint to the police, the deceased’s brother said his brother had been working with a private company for the past two years. His job was to install domestic internet connections.
He said after their father’s death a year ago, he also joined his brother’s company around two months back. On March 3, his brother was very upset when he returned from work at 8pm.
He informed him that his supervisor had slapped him and hurled abuses at him. After having dinner, the brothers went to sleep, but in the morning, the 22-year-old was found hanging from the ceiling.
The complainant alleged that his brother was harassed and abused by the supervisor on earlier occasions as well.
Later, police recovered a suicide note and booked the supervisor under Section 306 (abetment to suicide) of the Indian Penal Code. Efforts are on to arrest him.
