The two-day 34th Spring Fest concluded at the Town Park in Sector 5 with the prize distribution function on Sunday.

Haryana Vidhan Sabha speaker and Panchkula MLA Gian Chand Gupta said, “Covid-19 is almost over and a new enthusiasm was seen among people during the festival that witnessed a footfall of around 50,000.”
On this occasion, Gupta honoured the winners of the slogan writing and painting competition, organised by Ashwini Gupta Memorial Trust on the theme “Hamare Saat Sarokar”. The slogan writing competition was organised for children in the age group of 10 to 13 and painting competition for the 14 to 18 age group.
Nivedita of DC Model bagged the first prize in slogan writing competition, Tia Solath of Government Senior Secondary School, Baldwala, came second and Aishwarya of Satluj Public School got the third prize. The winners were awarded cash prizes of ₹5,100, ₹3,100 and ₹2,100, respectively.
In the poster-making competition, Keshav of Sutlej Public School secured the first place, while Vipul Prakash and Pinky Yadav came second and third, respectively. They were also awarded cash prizes of ₹5,100, ₹3,100 and ₹2,100, respectively.
Gupta also felicitated the winners of other competitions, including potted plants, flower arrangement, rangoli and health baby show. Over 1,800 entries were received from schools, colleges and other institutions for these competitions.
Gupta said the target to make Panchkula a vibrant, clean, beautiful and green city was possible only with the active cooperation of people.
He urged all residents, NGOs, resident welfare associations, market associations and industrial associations to work together to make Panchkula free of pollution, plastic and encroachments.
Mayor Kulbhushan Goyal and Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) chief administrator Ajit Balaji Joshi were also present on the occasion.
