The employees have been identified as manager Nirbhai Singh, resident of Bilaspur village, salesman Lovepreet Singh, resident of village Bhagike and their aides Balwant Singh and Inderjt Singh, both residents of Bhagike village, said Nihal Singh Wala DSP Mohammad Sarfaraz Alam.

He said that on Saturday, the employees informed the police that unidentified persons robbed ₹3.65 lakh from them at a petrol pump, located at Bilaspur village in Moga.

“During the investigation, we found that Nirbhai had embezzled around ₹2 lakh from petrol pump and to cover this, he concocted a robbery story. We have arrested them and started further investigation,” said the DSP.

A case has been registered at the Nihal Singh Wala police station.
