The minister for revenue, water supply and sanitation Bram Shankar Jimpa on Monday held a meeting with officers of the civil and police administration to review the progress of the ongoing development works and various welfare schemes in the district at the district administrative complex.

The cabinet minister said districts have been assigned to ministers to ensure the completion of projects in stipulated time with the help of district administration and local members of legislative assembly (MLA).
At the onset of the meeting, deputy commissioner Amit Talwar gave a detailed presentation about the development projects and various schemes of the district.
The minister further said the administrative authorities should pay attention to provide all kinds of basic amenities to citizens, while the work in progress should also be completed in time and if the deadline of a project has been pushed forward, it should be completed swiftly.
“Any kind of compromise with the quality of the project will not be tolerated,” he added.
The minister also instructed the civil and police officials of the district to ensure that the benefits of the employment and other social welfare schemes reach every household.
Meanwhile, local MLA Kulwant Singh brought the segment’s problems to the attention of the cabinet minister.
Answering the questions on the online sale of stamp papers, Brahm Shankar said the online system as the need of the hour and it would help eradicate corruption in the tehsil complexes.
