Days after a video went viral on social media showing a group of men assaulting a Delhi Police head constable inside Anand Vihar police station, three more persons have been arrested in connection with the case.

Deputy commissioner of police (Shahdara) R Sathiyasundaram said that the suspects have been identified as Dinesh Kumar, 38, resident of Arya Nagar who was a Delhi Civil Defence volunteer, Keshav, 24, and Pradeep, 27, residents of Karkardooma village, who run an electrical shop and work as a labourer respectively.

Police had earlier arrested an advocate identified as Satish Kumar, brother of prime accused Ajay, and said that his police custody has been extended for a day for identification of other suspects.

A Delhi Police head constable identified as Prakash was beaten up by a group of men inside Anand Vihar Police Station on July 30. In the video, at least three men can be seen slapping the official and one of them can be seen holding him by the collar while several others surround him. Even as the incident took place inside the police station, no other police official can be seen in the video or trying to help the policeman who can initially be seen retaliating against the crowd but is later seen folding his hands.
