Light rain expected in Delhi; maximum temperature to remain under 40°C
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said a partly cloudy sky was expected to become generally cloudy on Thursday
Light rain, thunderstorms, and wind speeds reaching 40-50 kmph gusting to 60 kmph were expected in Delhi on Wednesday, even a minimum temperature of 27.4°C was recorded, and the air quality dipped to the “moderate” category. The mercury was likely to rise to 38°C.

The maximum and minimum temperatures have risen since the beginning of June. On June 1, the maximum and minimum temperatures were 36.3°C and 24.9°C. They rose to 37.7°C and 26.8°C on June 2.
Cloudy skies are expected until Saturday, and mainly clear skies from Sunday onwards. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said a partly cloudy sky was expected to become generally cloudy on Thursday. “A spell of light rain accompanied by thunderstorm/lightning and strong wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph gusting to 60 kmph during forenoon to afternoon. Another spell of very light to light rain accompanied by thunderstorms/lightning during evening/night.”
The forecast for Friday reads the same, predicting generally cloudy skies throughout the day. No rain was recorded on Monday and Tuesday, even as the IMD said that rain was likely.
