Major reshuffle: Several special commissioners of police shifted

Delhi Police undergoes a significant reshuffle, transferring several special commissioners across divisions, including key roles in traffic and crime management.

In a major reshuffle in the senior ranks of Delhi Police, several special commissioners of police across key divisions have been transferred within and out of Delhi, officials aware of the development said on Wednesday.

The reshuffle comes days after senior IPS officer Hargobinder Singh Dhaliwal was transferred from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands cadre back to Delhi by the Union home ministry.

IPS Neeraj Thakur, who was serving as special commissioner of police (traffic), has been posted as special CP, law and trder zone-II. IPS Devesh Chandra Srivastava, who handled crime and media-related responsibilities, has been shifted as special CP, law and order zone-I.

IPS Manish Kumar Aggarwal has been transferred from the intelligence division to head the traffic division, while Ajay Chaudhry who served as special CP, vigilance, has been posted as special CP, protective security division.

The reshuffle comes days after senior IPS officer Hargobinder Singh Dhaliwal was transferred from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands cadre back to Delhi by the Union home ministry. Dhaliwal has now been posted as special CP (crime) with additional charge of perception management and media cell.
