Wanted in Arshi murder case, Ghaziabad gangster Kale arrested

A gangster-sharpshooter who had a bounty of 50,000 on his head was arrested following a gunbattle with police in Ghaziabad.

Kale, wanted in several cases in the city, was shot on the leg by the police on Thursday in Karhera area of Sahibabad.

The incident occurred around 4am when Kale was on a bike with another gangster, police said.

“Acting on a tip off, the police started following him after which he opened fire at the police personnel. A shoot-out broke out between the two parties after which Kale, who was riding pillion, was shot on his right leg twice by the police,” said Anup Singh, circle officer, Sahibabad.

While Kale fell from the bike and was caught by the police, his acquaintance managed to flee.

“According to intelligence inputs, the duo was going to commit another murder in the area. Kale has been admitted to Narender Mohan hospital in Mohan Nagar and is undergoing treatment,” Singh said.

On March 11 this year, Kale had gunned down a cloth trader at an Indirapuram high rise. Earllier in 2015, his 19-year-old brother Amzad Malik was also gunned down by him on Kanavani bridge in Vasundhara.

Kale is also accused of murdering a milk trader of Pasonda village in Sahibabad on September 2.
