Vehicular movement between Gurugram and Jhajjar will remain affected for a week due to scheduled construction work at the Farrukhnagar railway crossing, according to an advisory issued by district traffic police on Saturday.
Traffic restrictions near Farrukhnagar crossing till May 17
Police said temporary diversions will be imposed from 9am on May 11 till 6pm on May 17. “For safety and smooth traffic movement, vehicular traffic on this road will be restricted from 9am on May 11 to 6:00 pm on May 17,” the advisory stated.
Commuters travelling from Gurugram towards Jhajjar have been advised to avoid the Mubarakpur entry point and instead use alternate routes via Sultanpur road or the Farrukhnagar bypass through the Western Peripheral Expressway. Another diversion route will be via Farrukhnagar on the Gurugram-Jhajjar road.
Similarly, traffic from Jhajjar towards Gurugram will be diverted through Sultanpur road. Police said enforcement checks and diversions will also be imposed near Ramgopal College road and Mubarakpur village during the period.
