The writing was on the wall…and it hinted at the ‘deadly intentions’ of Ashwani Kumar alias Jonny Dada, 33, who is the prime suspect in three sensational murders that have rocked western UP’s Bijnor district over the past five days.
Kumar posted multiple text messages, Tik Tok videos and photographs on his facebook wall, expressing his aggression towards people who insulted him and even warned people to not mess with him. He even posted a message stating that he was going to destroy everything while another message read – ‘I am going to leave this life.’
Kumar allegedly shot dead local BJP leader Bhim Singh Kashyap’s son Chandra Bhushan alias Rahul, 24, and his cousin Krishna alias Lala, 25, after calling them for a liquor party in Bijnor’s Badhapur locality on September 26.
He struck again when he shot dead a former air hostess Nikita Sharma, 27, after barging into her house on Monday afternoon. Since then he is suspected to be hiding in the forest areas of Daulatabad where search operations were on to nab him, said police.
IG (law and order) Praveen Kumar said the accused seemed to be a fanatic who committed crimes to settle personal scores.
“Police teams have surrounded the jungle area of Daulatabad, where he is suspected to be hiding for the past three days. He will soon be arrested. A reward of ₹25,000 has been declared on his arrest,” he said
While scanning his social media account (with changed name of Aditya Rajpoot), the police found many strange messages and videos posted on its wall.
“Now, when we are connecting the messages with Jonny’s alleged act of revenge. They clearly hint that he was planning to commit crimes for the past many days,” said a Bijnor police official.
The official shared a few messages posted on Kumar’s Facebook wall. They read – ‘I will go for the kill if I am annoyed’, ‘Gusse ayega toh phir main maroonga’ and ‘Mujhe maut se zyada apni izzat pyari hai’.
Kumar also wrote on it his Facebook wall that he is going to destroy everything, added the official.
The official said the last post on Kumar’s wall was of August 18, after which he allegedly killed the two cousin brothers. Around a year ago, the two brothers had reportedly insulted Kumar when they made him roam around bare body over some petty issue, he added.
“Jonny intentionally made friends with them again around a month back and invited them for a liquor party at a secluded place near their house and allegedly shot them dead. He disappeared from there after the crime,” he stated.
Jonny reappeared on Monday afternoon when he barged into the house of Nikita Sharma on whom he once had a crush and shot her. The woman suffered multiple wounds and later succumbed to injuries in a Moradabad hospital, said the official.
He said the woman’s marriage was scheduled in November this year and the attacker was apparently upset over it.
