G20 and investors’ summit: Murals with message, 3D paintings to adorn Lucknow
More than 50 murals would be placed at different points of the city in such a way that they reflect the rich culture of Lucknow, officials said.
The route leading from the Lucknow airport to the venue of G20 and investors’ summit would be decorated with 3D paintings and murals made out of waste.
More than 50 murals would be placed at different points of the city in such a way that they reflect the rich culture of Lucknow, officials said. Along with these murals, 3D paintings from professional artists from across country, would be displayed at the city walls, intersections and flyovers.
The G20 summit is proposed on January 21 while the investors’ summit is scheduled on February 10-12. “The tender for murals will be floated soon,” said Lucknow Municipal Commissioner (LMC), Inderjeet Singh said.
“More than 50 creative, descriptive murals would reflect Lucknow’s rich history and heritage. There would a creative narrative of historical, social, spiritual and political background of Lucknow. They will add to the aesthetic beauty of the vacant city spaces and city will look more beautiful than ever before,” he said
“The vibrancy of the murals would be eye-catching. Thereafter, murals made from waste by professional artistes from various parts of country would be used to portray affluent lineage and cultural heritage of the city. It will also show Lucknow’s journey from an old city to a modern one, where all dreams come true,” he said.
“The best part is that through murals from waste, the city will give a message to use waste for beautification,” he added.
