Ground-breaking ceremony: CCSI Airport ready to handle VVIP rush during 3-day event
Special arrangements have been made at the airport to park the aircraft of dignitaries arriving to attend the ground-breaking ceremony
The Chaudhary Charan Singh International (CCSI) Airport is all set to welcome dignitaries for the Uttar Pradesh (UP) Ground Breaking Ceremony 3.0 to be held in the state capital from June 3 to 5. Special arrangements have been made at the airport to park the aircraft of those dignitaries.

A CCSI Airport spokesperson said, “Several dignitaries from across the country and overseas will be coming to attend the ground-breaking ceremony including the Prime Minister on June 3. Several dignitaries are flying into Lucknow for the three-day event. Some are arriving by scheduled airlines while some are arriving by non-scheduled, chartered aircraft. Parking number 1, 2 and 3 have been allocated to park the incoming non-scheduled chartered aircraft. Initially, we will utilise parking 1 and 2 where we can accommodate up to 10 aircraft and if required, we will utilise parking number 3 which will help us park around 15 aircraft.
“As many dignitaries would be travelling through CCSI Airport, we are ensuring that regular passengers travelling by scheduled flights are not inconvenienced.”
The spokesperson further said, “The investor summit is a prestigious event for the development of the state and by making arrangements for arriving dignitaries, CCSI Airport would like to contribute to the future development of the state in a small way.”
The airport has the capacity to accommodate 14 scheduled aircraft and five code-B aircraft. At present, the airport operates over 110 scheduled flights per day.
In the recently concluded assembly elections in the state and the oath-taking ceremony of chief minister Yogi Adityanath, the airport had handled over 12 non-scheduled VIP aircraft operations, the spokesperson said.
