In 18 months, TCS will work for the betterment of students of 105 Jai Prakash Narayan Sarvodaya Vidyalayas and Eklavya Vidyalayas run by the department.
“TCS will train school teachers as master trainers who will motivate students to promote science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM education) in schools,” said Aseem Arun, minister of state for social welfare.
According to the MoU, TCS will train students through its different training modules to help them understand the subject better.
TCS has made its programme to international standards, so that the students of Sarvodaya Vidyalaya may come on par with international standards and can succeed in competitive examinations like JEE, NEET in the future.
In its presentation TCS informed that similar programmes have been started in other states including Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh which have yielded positive results. Through the training programme, children will develop understanding regarding logical thinking, and is useful in life as well.
Sunil Joseph, CSR India head of TCS informed about this program and its utility and expressed happiness over the MoU signed with the social welfare department.
He said that the social welfare department and TCS will work together for the intellectual development of students by developing their potential and will prepare them for a bright future.
