Uttar Pradesh reported 370 new Covid cases on Tuesday from among 65944 samples tested in the past 24 hours, according to the state health department. The positivity rate stands at 0.56%, the department added.
The state at present has 2811 active Covid cases.
“The state has tested a total of 119223837 Covid samples till now,” said Amit Mohan Prasad, additional chief secretary, medical health in a press statement.
“In Uttar Pradesh, a total of 2073652 patients have defeated Covid infection including 477 who recovered in the past 24 hours. The recovery rate in UP is over 98%,” said Dr Abhishek Shukla, secretary general association of international doctors.
Lucknow reported 53 new cases including 10 each from Aliganj and Indira Nagar, seven from Chinhut, five from Alambagh and two from Sarojini Nagar.
Till now, Uttar Pradesh has administered a total of 34,66,50,720 doses of Covid vaccine.
