Man bludgeoned to death at Pune’s Hadapsar crematorium

Pune A 55-year-old man was found bludgeoned to death on the premises of a crematorium in Hadapsar at 9 am on Monday. The deceased has been identified as Nrusingh Vitthal Chavan, a resident of Hadapsar, according to the police.

The police have launched a massive manhunt to nab the unidentified accused.

Raghunath Jadhav, incharge of Hadapsar police station, said, “The accused killed the man by smashing his face with a large stone. We have deployed officials who are conducting nakabandi in the area to nab the accused. We are also checking the CCTV footage. A sniffer dog squad was also present at the spot.”

A case under Section 302 (murder) has been lodged at Hadapsar police station.
