Class 12 student dies by suicide after man drugs her, posts video clips
‘We have formed several teams and our priority is to trace the suspect. We are not denying the deceased woman’s family’s allegations that they approached the Khoda police on Saturday but could not get help. These allegations will be inquired into in detail,’ said Diksha Sharma, deputy commissioner of police (trans-Hindon)
A Class 12 student at a government school in east Delhi allegedly died by suicide at her house in Ghaziabad’s Khoda Colony on Monday evening after a man drugged her, recorded videos of her, and posted them on social media, said Noida police officers aware of the investigation.

The suspect, Mohammad Irfan (22), who is on the run, was the deceased woman’s neighbour until two years ago.
He and his father, Abdul Rahim, have been booked for abetment to suicide, said the officers.
The deceased woman, who was 18 years old, was the eldest of three siblings.
The woman’s father on Tuesday said that sometime in the first week of December, she was returning home from school after taking an exam, when the suspect picked her up in an autorickshaw and gave her a drink laced with sedatives.
Her younger sister, who studied in the same school, was not with her at that time, her father said.
“After picking her up, he made videos with her in a room and posted them on a social media website from his account. When these videos came to our knowledge a few days later, we asked our daughter. She agreed to go to the police to seek help. So we went to the Khoda police station on Saturday,” the deceased woman’s father said, adding,
“However, the police officers there asked us to approach the Delhi Police since the incident took place in the Capital,” he said.
“The suspect stayed in our locality two years ago but now lives somewhere else in Khoda. I complained to his father also, but he threatened me,” the woman’s father said.
On Monday, when the victim’s parents were not at home, she allegedly took her life. The police have sent the body for an autopsy.
“Around 6pm on Monday, when I left my workplace, my younger daughter, who was alone at home, called me and said she had found her sister dead in a room. We then approached the police and gave a complaint against our former neighbour,” her father said.
Police said that the suspect and his family could not be traced in Khoda and their house was locked.
“Had the Khoda police helped us on Saturday, my daughter would have been alive,” said the woman’s father.
A first information report (FIR) against Irfan and Rahim has been registered under sections of abetting suicide, intentional insult, criminal intimidation, criminal conspiracy, and provisions of the IT Act.
“We have formed several teams and our priority is to trace the suspect. The videos that had gone viral on social media have been deleted, but we have asked concerned agencies to remove them if any are still present. We are not denying the deceased woman’s family’s allegations that they approached the Khoda police on Saturday but could not get help. These allegations will be inquired into in detail,” said Diksha Sharma, deputy commissioner of police (trans-Hindon).
