The suspect, originally from Etah, resides in Loni’s Pooja Colony, and worked in the stitching unit, while the victim resided in Pushp Garden area.

Assistant commissioner of police (ACP) (Loni) Ram Kishan, said, “On Monday afternoon, the suspect picked up a scissors and landed multiple blows at the victim, who died after being taken to a hospital by his colleagues.”

“Soon after the incident, the suspect fled the scene. But on Tuesday, he was arrested from Hanuman Chowk in Tronica City and produced before a court,” the ACP added.

Based on a complaint by the victim’s brother, a first information report was registered against the suspect under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita section 103(1) (murder), said officials.

Investigators said the suspect is a bachelor who had been working at the factory for about four years.

“In December 2025, a woman joined the factory, and the suspect wanted to get friendly with her. But his manager often rebuked him over it. The suspect complained to the owner who did not pay heed to him. So, the suspect opted to avenge his insults,” said Kuldeep Dixit, SHO of Tronica City.

On Monday, around 3pm, the suspect visited the first floor where the manager was asleep. He picked up a scissors and landed blows on his abdomen. Just as he woke up, he landed another round of multiple blows on his throat and head, before fleeing. The victim was declared dead at hospital. The suspect, after being arrested on Tuesday, showed no regret,” the SHO added
