Four persons including a man and his minor son were killed and five others got injured when an SUV collided with a bike and then rammed into a tree, under Jarwal Road police station area on the Lucknow-Bahraich national highway here on Thursday, said the police.

According to police, an SUV was on its way to Lucknow from Bahraich and as the vehicle reached near Churainpurwa Mustafabad village under Jarwal police station area, it collided with a bike coming from the opposite direction and then rammed into a tree on the roadside.
Four persons were killed on the spot while five others sustained injuries.
Locals rushed in to rescue the injured. On being informed, SDM Kaiserganj Mahesh Kumar Kaithal, and SHO Jarwal Road Rajesh Kumar Singh reached the spot and sent the injured to CHC Mustafabad.
The SHO said the deceased have been identified as Rohit Kumar, 31, Kashama Rani, 30, both residents of Barabanki district; and Pawan, 30, and his five-year-old son Aditya of Bahraich.
SSP Prashant Verma said three persons who sustained minor injuries were being treated at CHC Mustafabad while two others with severe injuries have been referred to Bahraich district hospital.
