Ludhiana carjacking case: 2 more land in police net

Earlier, the Ludhiana police had arrested Ranjit Singh and Lovepreet Kaur in the carjacking case. The police have also booked Manjot Singh, Sushil and Sajan in the case, following the information provided by the accused.

Six days after the arrest of an orchestra dancer and her aide for robbing a taxi driver, the Daba police have arrested two more accused. The police have recovered a country made pistol and a sharp-edged weapon from their possession.

The accused have been identified as Sonu Gupta and Inderjit Singh, both residents of Dhillon Nagar of Daba.

Earlier, the police had arrested Ranjit Singh and Lovepreet Kaur. The police have also booked Manjot Singh, Sushil and Sajan in the case, following the information provided by the accused.

Inspector Ranbir Singh, station house officer at Daba police station, said on December 5, Lovepreet had booked the taxi from Zirakpur for Ludhiana . After reaching here, the woman called on her accomplices who threatened the taxi driver, Sandeep of Dera Bassi, with sharp-edged weapons, and robbed him of his car, mobile phone and 8,500.
